My latest novel takes place at the National Cherry Festival in Traverse City, Michigan. The best way I can think of celebrating its release earlier this month is by sharing my super easy Very Cherry Cupcake recipe. It makes 24 cupcakes. Enjoy!
Ingredients
- white cake mix
- 1 cup of water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 eggs
- cherry pie filling
- cream cheese frosting
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
- Follow the directions on the cake mix box
- Line cupcake pan with cupcake liners
- Fill each cupcake 1/4 cup of cake mix
- Add one teaspoon of cherry pie filling to middle of each cupcake
- Bake 16-18 minutes
- Allow to cool for at least 30 minutes and frost with cream cheese frosting
- Enjoy
