This is the perfect dessert recipe for Thanksgiving, Game Day, or another fall event!
Ingredients:
- 29 oz can pumpkin puree
- boxed vanilla cake mix
- 18 oz can of evaporated milk
- one cup chopped walnuts
- one cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 eggs
- 2 sticks of butter
- one cup brown sugar
- one tablespoon of pumpkin spice
- 1/2 tablespoon of nutmeg
- 1/2 tablespoon of cinnamon
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
- Grease a 9 x 13 pan
- In a bowl, mix pumpkin, milk, vanilla extract, pumpkin spice, nutmeg, cinnamon, brown sugar, and eggs until smooth.
- Pour mixture into the pan
- Cover with half of walnuts and pecans.
- Pour cake mix over the layer of nuts.
- Thinly slice butter and place over cake mix, covering the whole surface.
- Top with remaining walnuts and pecans.
- Bake for 45-55 minutes.
- Enjoy!
