After a year of set backs due to the pandemic, it’s amazing that we are finally in the process of building our new house on our farm. My husband bought the property before we met and shared his vision with me for the farm not long after. You can read that story on a special post that I wrote for Jungle Red Writers last month. It’s been an incredible journey to be sure.
To give you an update, the foundation is complete and a team of Amish craftsmen are now framing the house. My husband and I have been posting photos and video on my Facebook page and that is the best way to stay up-to-date on all the construction. Below are some photos of the work that has been happening in the last week!
The first time, I saw the structure up was an unbelievable feeling. We have a long way to go to finish the whole house, but it’s really happening. We couldn’t be happier!

Happy Reading! ❤

Since we have Amish builders from Holmes County working on our house right now, it only seems right that this week’s featured book is an Amish mystery set in Holmes County, Assaulted Caramel. This USA TODAY BESTSELLER is the first in the Amish Candy Mystery series which is still going strong. Book six, Lemon Drop Dead, releases in April!
I am so excited for you! I can’t wait to see you living on the farm. I hope you and your husband enjoy farm life as much as we do, there is nothing like gardening and being out in the fresh air. Praying God blesses y’all with a quick easy build and no more setbacks.
I love that you are able to have an Amish crew build your home ❤️
