A Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,
During this Holy Advent season, we come to You in a time of grief and reach to You for comfort in the wake of heartbreaking loss.
In this time of need, we ask for
Strength where there is suffering.
Bravery where there is fear.
Mercy where there is brokenness.
Joy where there is devastation.
Hope where there is despair.
We ask this not just for those families and friends impacted by the tragedy in Connecticut, but for all who wake up to an empty seat at the table and an ache in their heart.
Come, Lord Jesus, Come.
In Your Son’s precious name, Amen.
